Our CSA shares for 2014 are sold out!
We are offering a weekly share with an estimated value of not less than $20.00. We’re maintaining the same number of shares as last year but increasing the size of our tilled fields and expanding our work force. We continue to adhere to organic principles in all of our activities on the Farm. Our goal is to bring a looseleaf head of lettuce to each week’s basket, along with leafy greens and snow peas, and herbs to start out the season. Midsummer will see all of the usuals: cucumbers, summer squash, green peppers, zucchini and more. Our “signature” item: heirloom tomatoes have been started earlier in hope of an early July start to the season. We’ve added some winter squash, cutting flowers and a few surprises.
We’re doing 18 weeks this year (three more than last year) starting the 2nd week in June and continuing into the first week of October so that we can continue the tomato harvest. The price will remain at $20/basket, for a total cost of $360.00. Distributions will be on Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings, with a cooler set up for people who can’t make the designated times. If you’d like more details, or to register please reply to this email and we’ll be in touch. All sales are on a first-come-first-served basis for the limited number of available shares.
