We celebrated our year’s harvest on an absolutely gorgeous October day.
Board Member Dominika Colaiacavo put on the luncheon buffet virtually singlehandedly with Wind Hill Farm eggplant parmesan, marinated pork chops and homemade pasta with parsley pesto. It was phenomenal. Other highlights included the Puntarelle alla Romana demonstration by Valeria Volin, with puntarelle grown exclusively for this event at Wind Hill. Joe Colletti and Kathy Nevins made an outstanding bruschetta salsa. A great ending to what has been a great year at Wind Hill Community Farm. For dessert, we had Board Member Laura Higgins’ homemade apple pie cookies and Board Member Jackie Callahan Parente’s homemade peach ice cream.
