About Wind Hill Community Farm
In 2010, a small group of neighbors who were interested in establishing a "community farm" acquired access to land in East Glastonbury.to use for: Community gardens with rentals for people to grow produce for their families An area to grow vegetables using organic principles for sale to our community
An area for community gatherings. The farm secured a lease with the Town of Glastonbury for an unused/undeveloped area
at the Longo Open Space.
Since then WHCF has had unwavering volunteer community support to develop and run the farm, arrange educational programs, deliver produce to the Food Pantry, and to provide labor for capital projects. Generous organizational and financial support for capital improvement projects has been provided by the US Conservation Service, the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, the Sestero Fund, Glastonbury Community Fund at Greater Hartford Gives Fundation, and community member contributions.
Giving Back
