We're particularly proud of our heirloom tomatoes.
Our mission is to forge a connection in our community through sustainable farming, education and programs that celebrate
local agriculture, inclusivity, environmental stewardship and healthy lifestyles.
Our CSA Shares for 2023 will be offered in February.
At that time, we will be giving details about the vegetables, herbs and weekly flowers, grown without herbicides or contaminants which will be offered in this year's CSA and the dates for the CSA. Please check back with us and come join us*
During the first week of January, we began our planning for this year's events and programs. We are very excited about the upcoming season. We have recently welcomed a number of new and energetic Board Members and have created a long list of events and programs with diverse, educational and entertaining activities planned. We will be announcing a first event for this year very soon and will be following throughout the rest of this year with offering our upcoming programs and events. Stay tuned!
If you are not currently on our email distribution list, please let me know your email address by contacting us at windhillfarmcom@gmail.com.
We will be offering our few available raised beds for lease by area families during February. Our gardeners are looking forward to planting their spring vegetables (snow peas, spinach, lettuce) as soon as the ground can be worked. Our full-sun, naturally-warmed raised beds are 4’x12′ and must be maintained organically.
GARDEN RESTORATION PROGRAM AND DIVERSITY GARDENS 2023. We are pleased to be the recipient this year of an $11,000 grant for community gardens restoration and an ethnic diversity gardens program from the Sestero Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. We are excited to be using this grant money to bring diversity in farming to Wind Hill by dedicating some of the raised beds to growing and using ethnic specialties.
Wind Hill welcomes people with farming and gardening interests to participate in our community gardens and programming and to protect and celebrate the Longo Open Space Area which is the home of Wind Hill Community Farm.
Thank you to the Sestero Family and to our farming community for their ongoing support.
