Looking for Volunteer Opportunities at Wind Hill Community Farm
We're starting our planning for this years growing season and are looking for help so we can bring farm fresh food to the community

Wind Hill Community Farm & Learning Center, Inc. is a 501c3 organization with an educational mission and many worthy projects and programs. Please consider becoming a member of our farm community by contributing. If you are interested in making a donation or sponsoring an event, your gift will be used to support our education programming, infrastructure expenses including a project to add a children's garden and play area as well as the overall sustainability of the farm. Due to the popularity of our program we are expanding the Farm Fresh Kids . This summer we are expanding the hours to 9am to 12 noon and adding an additional session in August. Contact us If you would like to join our mission in teaching the next generation the importance of learning about the foundations of gardening and farming.
Lead teacher for Farm Fresh Kids summer program, held at the Longo Farm Open
Space in conjunction with Wind Hill Community Farm and Learning Center. 4
sessions, 3 mornings each from 9:00-noon. Responsibilities include supervising 2
volunteer assistants, learning the curriculum from the current lead teacher,
preparing needed supplies for each day, leading the classes and hikes and
cleaning up after the session. Each session will have a maximum of 18 children,
ages 6-10. $20/hour, 4 hours each day.
June 22, 24, 26; July 6,8,10 and 20,22,24; August 3,5,7.
Volunteers needed for Farm Fresh Kids Program. The program takes place at the
Longo Farm Open Space on Hebron Avenue and is run in conjunction with Wind
Hill Community Farm and Learning Center. 4 sessions of 3 mornings each are
held at the farm, June 22,24,26; July 6, 8, 10 and 20, 22, 24; August 3,5,7. Children
have completed grades K-4, maximum of 18 children per session. Activities
include teaching children about plants, identifying vegetable plants, planting
seeds or seedlings, hiking on the Open Space and preparing a fresh snack under
the direction of a lead teacher.

If you are new to farming or an experienced gardener, join a team of volunteers plant crops, maintain the fields and harvest the produce. The hours are flexible and every volunteer helps us. Having volunteers will allow us to reach our goal of donating to local food banks.
